Moderate track
Starting from North Head Camping Area in Murramarang National Park, this walk takes you through the forest to Honeysuckle Beach for a swim. Have a picnic at Honeysuckle Bay Day Use Area before heading back. Let us begin by acknowledging the Yuin people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

  • Keep right onto North Head Road and drive for another 3.2 km
  • Turn right onto North Head Road and drive for another 85 m

Find the North Head Camping Area at the start.
Find the toilet at the start.
After 280 m come to the viewpoint (40 m on your right).
The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to a lookout with views over the bay. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip veer right when you get back to this intersection. Details below.
Turn left.
After another 530 m veer right.
After another 140 m veer right.
After another 255 m veer right.
After another 15 m veer right.
Continue another 50 m to find the end. Then turn around here and retrace the main route for 1.3 km to get back to the start.
