Getting started
From the top of the station, this walk heads towards the shops, down the stairs and to the road next to Gordon Station bus depot.
From Gordon Station bus depot, this walk heads up the hill of St Johns Ave to the Pacific Highway. The walk crosses to the other side at the pedestrian crossing. From here, this walk follows the shop fronts up the Pacific Highway, then turns left onto Moree St. This street is followed until the walk turns right onto Vale St. This walk continues along Vale St for a short time to the intersection with the bush track on the left of the street.....

	After another 25 m continue straight, to head along Blackbutt Creek Track. After another 30 m head through/around the gate.
	After another 390 m veer left, to head along Blackbutt Creek Track.

	After another 1.3 km turn right, to head along Blackbutt Creek Track. After another 10 m cross the ford. After another 105 m head through/around the gate.
	At the intersection of Lady Game Drive & Blackbutt Creek Track turn left, to head along Lady Game Drive (a highway\|tertiary).
	After another 360 m (at the intersection of De Burgh Road & Lady Game Drive) turn right, to head along De Burgh Road (a residential road).
	After another 15 m continue straight, to head along De Burgh Road.
	After another 235 m (at the intersection of Beaumont Road & De Burgh Road) turn right, to head along Beaumont Road.
	After another 100 m (at the intersection of Beaumont Road & Manning Road) continue straight, to head along Beaumont Road.
	After another 540 m turn right. After another 30 m head into the "Allen Park". After another 480 m find the "Allen Park" (on your left). Allen Park Allen Park Allen Park is a very small grassed clearing at the end of Blaxland Rd. The park is not shaded and backs onto a house. 	Turn left, to head along The Great North Walk. After another 30 m pass the sign (8 m on your right). Then head down the 5 steps (about 2 m long) After another 285 m cross the ford. After another 165 m find the "Sandstone caves" (15 m on your right). Sandstone caves Sandstone caves This fairly large sandstone overhang is found on the eastern side of the Lane Cove Valley. The walking track leads through the two caves that run in series, with the northern cave being larger. The lip of the overhang hangs down a bit, providing some extra protection from wind and rain. The cave also provide some shade and a cooler spot on hot days, and there are also a couple of well placed boulders forming nice seats. + - This fairly large sandstone overhang is found on the eastern side of the Lane Cove Valley. The walking track leads through the two caves that run in series, with the northern cave being larger. The lip of the overhang hangs down a bit, providing some extra protection from wind and rain. The cave also provide some shade and a cooler spot on hot days, and there are also a couple of well placed boulders forming nice seats. Then come to the viewpoint. 	After another 90 m continue straight, to head along The Great North Walk. After another 140 m pass the sign (on your left). Then cross the bridge (about 8 m long) Then head up the 26 steps (about 20 m long) After another 55 m head up the 7 stone steps (about 3 m long) Then cross the bridge After another 200 m cross the ford. 	After another 290 m (at the intersection of Max Allen Road & The Great North Walk) continue straight, to head along Max Allen Road (a vehicle track). After another 30 m pass the "Great North Walk" (on your left).
	After another 25 m continue straight, to head along Max Allen Road. After another 90 m pass the sign (25 m on your right).

	Veer left.
	After another 80 m turn right, to head along Longford Street.
	After another 110 m (at the intersection of Shirley Road & Longford Street) turn left, to head along Shirley Road.
	After another 180 m (at the intersection of Shirley Road & Abingdon Road) veer right, to head along Shirley Road.
	After another 140 m (at the intersection of Toongarah Road & Shirley Road) continue straight, to head along Shirley Road.
	After another 65 m (at the intersection of Shirley Road & Glen Road) continue straight, to head along Shirley Road.
	After another 290 m (at the intersection of Shirley Road & Alston Way) continue straight, to head along Shirley Road.
	After another 205 m (at the intersection of Shirley Road & The Rifleway) turn right, to head along The Rifleway (a footpath).
	After another 185 m (at the intersection of Larkin Street & The Rifleway) continue straight (a steps). Then head up the steps (about 60 m long)
	After another 60 m turn right, to head along Pacific Highway.
	After another 35 m turn left.
	After another 9 m continue straight. After another 35 m cross the bridge

	After another 9 m come to the end.

	Veer left, to head along Max Allen Road. After another 55 m pass the toilet (25 m on your left).
