Starting from Long Gully Road, just south of Isaacs, ACT, this circuit walk explores 3 reserves(Isaacs Ridge, Wanniassa Hills and Farrer Ridge) visiting Mount Wanniassa along the way. Going through three reserves and giving you a compact tour of each one of them, we can easily say that this walk is quite uncommon. Start by heading up and down the Isaacs Ridge through the dense pine plantation. Then make your way up Mount Wannaissa to get panoramic views over Canberra and Brindabella Range. Finally, explore the endangered Yellow Box-Blakely’s Red Gum woodland of Farrer Ridge, where you can spot a Pink-tailed worm-lizard if lucky. Hiking poles are recommended, especially for the Isaacs Ridge part of the hike. Also, don’t get confused when you get to the start point after you make it down Isaacs Ridge(midway through the walk), you’re on the right track. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started From Long Gully Road(265 metres southeast of intersection with Erindale Drive), head towards the signposted metal gate along the dirt path gently downhill. Pass through the gap next to the gate and follow the formed gravel/dirt trail as you pass by the yellow-on-red “Equestrian Trail” signpost to your right. In about 85 metres(from the gate), veer right at the intersection and follow the dirt trail uphill to continue along Isaacs Ridge, Mount Wanniassa and Farrer Ridge Circuit.....

Continue straight, to head along Isaacs House Trail.
After another 350 m turn right.
After another 410 m veer right.
After another 530 m continue straight.

After another 540 m turn left.
After another 310 m continue straight.
After another 80 m turn right.
After another 115 m veer right, to head along Long Gully Road.
After another 140 m continue straight, to head along Long Gully Road.
After another 60 m (at the intersection of Long Gully Road & ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail) turn left, to head along ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail (a vehicle track).
After another 50 m head through/around the gate.
After another 30 m (at the intersection of ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail & Shortcut) continue straight, to head along ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail.
After another 330 m (at the intersection of ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail & Shortcut) continue straight, to head along ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail.
After another 480 m (at the intersection of ACTEW Long Gully Firetrail & Mt Wanniassa Fire Trail) turn right, to head along Mt Wanniassa Fire Trail (a walking track).
After another 590 m pass the "Mount Wanniassa" (5 m on your right).
After another 390 m (at the intersection of Powerline Firetrail & Mt Wanniassa Fire Trail) continue straight, to head along Mt Wanniassa Fire Trail.
After another 65 m turn right.
After another 480 m turn left.
After another 20 m climb over the stile.
After another 60 m continue straight, to head along Little Powerline Trail.
After another 185 m turn right.
After another 720 m turn right.
After another 135 m continue straight.
After another 145 m turn right.
After another 110 m continue straight.
After another 400 m turn right.
After another 165 m continue straight.
After another 70 m climb over the stile.
